Peter's unique clarinet method can be used alongside any tutor book.  Standard clarinet tutor books only teach music.  They do not show you how to play the clarinet properly.  Many of them get the basics completely wrong. 

Parents asked us to help them to guide their children but they did not have any musical knowledge.

Playing the Clarinet is Easy! shows you how to play the clarinet effortlessly and correctly. Pages of photographs, many in full colour, show you how it should be done and how to avoid faults.  

ESPECIALLY TEACHERS:

If you have been using the standard tutor books they ALL suffer from the same faults.

1) ALL of them show a "dumbed-down baby-talk" fingering method to begin with

2) ALL of them teach the bottom register to start - in some cases that is ALL they teach. We say - and prove - that this is the WORST way to teach or learn the clarinet.

3) NONE of them show you or your pupils how to form or develop a good embouchure.

4) NONE of them show you or your pupils how to tongue correctly.

3) NONE of them show you or your pupils how to hold the clarinet correctly:

5) NONE of them show you or your pupils how to change registers from the beginning. Some of them do eventually show the correct fingering - BUT FAR TOO LATE.

6) NONE of them show you or your pupils how to play the altissimo register easily.

7) ALL of them are guilty of making the clarinet difficult play.

We can promise you that, if you have the courage to follow our method, you will be utterly amazed at the results you can achieve. Your students will be playing smoothly and confidently from bottom E to Altissimo E in weeks, NOT YEARS. "Crossing the break" is never a problem as "the break" doesn't exist in our method. Only in tutor books from the ark.

I am amazed at the fact that I can play the high register so easily. You are so correct in your method.

So that you understand:-I have been instructing high school students with no private instruction and very limited ability so that it was necessary to un-teach their habits while at the same time guiding them with your method. It has been successful in that they have grasped the concept with a few exceptions.

When they experience the ease of attaining high notes it should erase any doubts in their minds as to applying your approach with a more concentrated effort.

A friend of the band director teaches in a private elementary school and has asked me to work with his clarinet students. It will be a mixture of new and one year students........
